Shop to Stop Hunger

Five celebrities from Charlottesville will race to fill their grocery carts to help feed hungry families. On November 7, each celebrity contestant will have 60 seconds to fill their grocery cart with as much food as possible to benefit the Food Bank. The celebrity who generates the most valuable cart in a 1-minute spree, plus the most votes in food and funds wins!

This year’s local celebrities are:

•  Juandiego Wade, Charlottesville Mayor
•  Mike Thomas, Charlottesville Fire Chief
•  Pam Garrison, Monticello Media/WCYK
•  Jay Woolfolk, UVA Baseball
•  Kate Mora, Kroger CEO

Support your favorite local celebrity shopper by donating in their honor starting October 31!

Thank you to our event sponsors: Kroger and HomeInstead!

And a special thank you to University of Virginia Community Credit Union who will be matching the contestant with the most amount of funds raised up to $5,000.
